ELGIN  ALLEY  CATS  STORY  -  RESCUES  DURING  A  PANDEMIC

 RESCUES  DURING  A  PANDEMIC

2021 started off to be a challenging year for the Elgin Alley Cats to provide
Trap-Neuter/Spay-Return (TNR) and medical services for our community cats
during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thank you to all of the hard working, selfless volunteers who have given their
time caring for Elgin's community cats.

 Elgin GC Colony Project:

The colony located on Highway 290 in Elgin has been a high priority project for our organization because of the number of cats that required attention.

Support to provide the necessary assistance for these cats occured when the community took to Facebook and asked for help.  Many feared the cats were in danger of dying because of their medical condition.

So far we have trapped 17 cats with the majority requiring medical treatment for respiratory infections.  Most of the cats have been spayed or neutered, given flea treatments, and vacinated for rabies.

A small portion of the cats are being treated for lingering respiratory infections

Helping the Highway 290 colony has been busy, intense, and rewarding for us.

All of the trapped cats and kittens are expected to recover, however, our funds have been depleted and we need your help.

Please assist us with the challenge of care and maintenance for the community cats in Elgin.  A donation of any amount will have a positive impact.

Thank you in advance for your contribution.
